Assistant Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
• Preparing ledgers for expenses, income, and other financial activities.
• Handling student fee payments, issuing receipts, and updating fee records.
• Monitoring overdue payments and sending reminders to parents.
• Helping process salaries for teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Calculating deductions such as taxes, provident funds, or other contributions.
• Assisting in preparing and managing the schools annual budget.
• Monitoring departmental expenditures to ensure they align with the budget.
• Preparing periodic financial reports for the management or board.
• Supporting audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Handling invoices, purchase orders, and payment processing for vendors.
• Keeping track of school supplies and ensuring timely payments for procurements.
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Assisting in filing tax returns and maintaining proper records for audits.
