Job Description

A pre-sales coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales team by conducting initial customer research, qualifying potential leads, developing sales pitches, providing product knowledge, and generally preparing the groundwork for the sales process before a deal is closed, essentially ensuring the sales team has all necessary information to effectively engage with prospective clients; key duties include market analysis, customer needs assessment, solution design, demo preparation, and coordinating with marketing and sales teams to facilitate smooth lead transitions.

Key responsibilities of a pre-sales coordinator:

Lead qualification:

  • Identify and qualify potential customers based on their needs and fit with the companys offerings.

Market research:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and customer demographics to understand the potential market for new products or services.

Customer needs assessment:

  • Conduct discovery calls with potential clients to thoroughly understand their pain points, requirements, and desired outcomes.

Solution design:

  • Develop customized proposals and presentations tailored to each customers specific needs, highlighting the value proposition of the companys products or services.

Technical demonstration:

  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, showcasing key features and functionalities to potential customers.

Sales pitch creation:

  • Craft compelling sales pitches and presentations to effectively communicate the benefits of the companys solution.

Pricing analysis:

  • Provide pricing information and support the sales team in negotiating contracts.

Sales enablement:

  • Train and educate the sales team on new products, features, and sales processes.

CRM management:

  • Update and maintain customer information within the CRM system to track lead progress and sales opportunities.

Collaboration with marketing:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to generate leads and align marketing campaigns with sales initiatives.
