Job Role - Manager Payroll / Payroll Lead / Compensation & Benefits

Location - Hyderabad, Corporate Office

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing:
  Lead the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees across multiple locations.
• Manage payroll calendars and ensure deadlines are met consistently.
• Oversee the collection and review of timekeeping records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Compliance & Reporting:
  Ensure adherence to all local, state, and labor laws, including tax regulations, benefits deductions, and reporting requirements.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting payroll and implement any necessary adjustments or process changes.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports, such as tax filings, statutory deductions, and annual tax summaries.
• Team Leadership & Development:
  Supervise and guide the payroll team, providing training and ongoing support to ensure high performance.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and promote continuous improvement within the payroll function.
• Data Integrity & Audits:
  Ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data by reviewing and verifying employee information, compensation details, and deductions.
• Manage internal and external audits related to payroll and ensure resolution of any discrepancies.
• System Management & Improvements:
  Oversee the payroll system and make recommendations for enhancements to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy.
• Work closely with HRIS and IT teams to ensure payroll systems are fully integrated and functional.
• Employee Inquiries & Issue Resolution:
  Act as the point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve any payroll-related issues, including discrepancies, adjustments, and reporting.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to employees regarding payroll matters.
• Confidentiality & Record Keeping:
  Ensure confidentiality of employee payroll information and maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Education & Experience:
• MBA in Human Resources, or a related field.
• A minimum of 15+ years of experience in payroll management, ideally within FMCG, QSR, retail, manufacturing, or hospital sectors.
• Experience managing payroll for a large and diverse workforce.
• Strong proficiency with payroll software's
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Solid understanding of payroll tax laws and statutory requirements.
