Job Title: Head of Information Technology
Location: Kharagpur (West Bengal)
Department: Information Technology (IT)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Summary:
The Head of Information Technology is accountable for shaping and executing the company's IT strategy, which aims to enhance operational efficiency and support long-term business goals. A key focus will be the successful implementation of SAP and Salesforce systems, ensuring that these technologies are integrated effectively and tailored to meet the evolving needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will combine strategic insight with practical expertise in project management, ERP, and CRM systems, as well as possess strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Planning:
- Create and implement a holistic IT strategy that aligns with the company's mission and growth objectives.
- Lead efforts in digital transformation, concentrating on optimizing processes, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with various departments (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations) to identify and address their technology needs.
SAP Implementation & Management:
- Oversee the rollout of SAP ERP across departments, ensuring it meets each unit's specific requirements (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Develop a detailed phased implementation plan that includes configuration, data migration, testing, and support during the go-live phase.
- Manage the customization of SAP modules and their integration with other systems for seamless data flow throughout the organization.
- Provide ongoing system support and optimization to maximize user adoption and operational efficiency.
Salesforce Implementation & Optimization:
- Lead the integration of Salesforce CRM to align with goals for sales, customer service, and marketing.
- Work with stakeholders to customize workflows, reporting features, and data analytics in Salesforce for better customer relationship management.
- Train staff on Salesforce best practices to encourage engagement and improve operational processes.
- Initiate actions to utilize Salesforce for advanced data analytics and customer insights, ultimately driving sales initiatives.
Project & Change Management:
- Establish a comprehensive project management framework to ensure IT projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee resource allocation and ensure project teams have access to the necessary tools, training, and support.
- Implement change management strategies to facilitate the smooth transition to new systems, including training programs and user support.
- Conduct regular project evaluations, risk assessments, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Data Governance & IT Security:
- Create and enforce IT policies and governance protocols to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with regulations.
- Implement cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans to safeguard the organization's data assets.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, continuously enhancing security protocols to mitigate emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and cultivate the IT team, encouraging skill development and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Promote a commitment to continuous learning, supporting team members in obtaining relevant certifications and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years in IT management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in SAP and Salesforce implementation, including system integration, customization, and optimization.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP) and CRM (Salesforce) platforms.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, Asana).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols, data governance, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic and critical thinking.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to change management.
Performance Metrics:
- System Efficiency: Successful, timely, and budget-conscious implementation of SAP and Salesforce systems.
- Project Completion Rate: Achievement of project deadlines and milestones as planned.
- User Adoption: High user satisfaction and adoption rates for new systems, particularly SAP and Salesforce.
Budget Adherence: Consistent alignment with allocated budget and delivery of cost-effective technology solutions.
