Job Description
- To support the Plant Head by providing the correct perspective from the commercial Point of view in all matters about the Unit
- To draw up the business plans for the company in commercial function
- To identify alternative vendors and service providers to bring substantial reduction in purchasing and service costs
- To evaluate and ensure the documentation of imports and exports of the Unit are of the quality required
- To finalize all commercial contracts relating to commercial aspects of operations such as Bagging, FG handling, Warehousing, Loading/ unloading & stacking, etc
- To lead the stores team in ensuring the issues are taken care of and to maintain the stores inventory with in budgeted norms
- To analyse various aspects of the company s import and export performance, both in terms of financial and business impact
- Risk Management: - To constantly review systems and processes to mitigate the risks of leakage, under insurance, inefficient purchase etc
- Environment Management: - To interact with the external (Customs, Service Tax, Local authorities, Excise, Vendors, Service providers etc.) and Internal (Other functions) agencies/ public(s) to ensure smooth functioning of the Unit and the commercial team in the internal context
- Legal & Compliance: Responsibility for overall legal compliances and management of all Commercial matters for the Unit
- Inventory Management & Supply chain assistance: To Optimize inventory carrying cost, enhancing purchase efficiency and ensuring ready availability of raw material through active coordination
- Price finalization for any kind of Raw Materials, Components, Spare Parts, Machines & Equipments; Various Project s BOM - Items and all Services, IT hardware, IT services, etc
- Import /Export materials planning, reviewing, CHA & Freight Forwarders price negotiation. CHA handling. Interaction with Customs & DGFT thru online. Shipments Clearance in short using AEO/ DPD License. MEIS settlement, Avail Cost benefits by using EPCG Licenses
- Cost saving through Strategic Negotiation, Waste Control, Rejection control, Energy audits, e-bidding / reverse auction implementation, Imports substitution, suppliers substitution, alternate sourcing, Suppliers Consolidation, VA/ VE analysis, Inventory Management. Proper Manpower Planning, right manpower utilization & ensure team work among the team
- Ensure disposal of redundant scrap and as well as non- moving / slow moving inventory
- Handling Deptt s Budget ; Optimisation of Systems & Processes to ensure efficient Commercial Forecasting
