Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with extensive Data Center experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the organizations network infrastructure, particularly within the data center environment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance, security, and scalability in support of business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-level network solutions for data centers, ensuring they meet business and operational requirements.
Data Center Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the data center network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other related technologies.
Network Troubleshooting & Optimization: Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of network issues to ensure high network availability and performance.
Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security protocols, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Capacity Planning: Monitor network traffic and performance metrics to anticipate future growth, optimize resource utilization, and implement upgrades as necessary.
Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with system administrators, cloud engineers, and other IT professionals to integrate network services with other infrastructure components. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and execute network disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of a failure.

Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent networking certification.

Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on data center environments.
- Hands-on experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Experience with data center technologies like network virtualization (SDN), fiber optics, and network automation.
