SCM Manager Hot Forging

Experience: 12 15+ years in supply chain management, preferably in the hot forging industry
Budget: As per budget

Job Responsibilities:

1. Procurement and Vendor Management:
   • Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials such as MS Round Bars and Ingots.
   • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
   • Monitor market trends to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality compliance.
2. Inventory Management:
   • Optimize inventory levels to balance demand and supply.
   • Ensure the availability of raw materials to meet production schedules without overstocking.
   • Implement inventory control techniques like JIT and ABC analysis.
3. Logistics and Distribution:
   • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery.
   • Collaborate with transport providers to optimize delivery schedules and costs.
   • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in logistics.
4. Supply Chain Optimization:
   • Drive cost-saving initiatives through efficient supply chain processes.
   • Implement lean practices and minimize wastage across the supply chain.
   • Utilize technology to improve visibility and performance in supply chain operations.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
   • Build and manage a high-performing SCM team.
   • Develop a skill matrix to identify training needs and enhance team capabilities.
   • Conduct performance evaluations and mentor team members for career growth.
6. Strategic Planning and Reporting:
   • Align supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
   • Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement, inventory, and logistics performance.
   • Participate in budget preparation and cost forecasting for SCM activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Reduction in procurement costs and lead times.
• Inventory turnover ratio and stock accuracy levels.
• Percentage of on-time deliveries for raw materials and finished goods.
• Supplier performance score (quality, timeliness, and cost compliance).
• Cost savings achieved through supply chain optimization.

• Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to meet production demands.
