Job Description
- Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-level network solutions for data centers, ensuring they meet business and operational requirements.
- Data Center Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the data center network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other related technologies.
- Network Troubleshooting & Optimization: Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of network issues to ensure high network availability and performance.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security protocols, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor network traffic and performance metrics to anticipate future growth, optimize resource utilization, and implement upgrades as necessary.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with system administrators, cloud engineers, and other IT professionals to integrate network services with other infrastructure components. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and execute network disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime in the event of a failure.
Certifications: - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent networking certification.
Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on data center environments.
- Hands-on experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Experience with data center technologies like network virtualization (SDN), fiber optics, and network automation.
