Job Title: Production Manager

Objectives of the Job/Role:
To oversee the operations of carton box manufacturing unit, specializing in both automatic and semi-automatic production control
Ensuring production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the carton box manufacturing unit, ensuring smooth running of both automatic and semi-automatic machinery.
• Monitor production schedules to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality or safety.
• Ensure that all machinery and equipment are maintained and functioning optimally.
• Team Management:
• Supervise and lead a team of production operators, technicians, and other staff to ensure high levels of productivity.
• Organize and assign tasks to team members, providing training and mentorship as needed.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to detect any issues or inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
• Process Optimization:
• Continuously assess and optimize production processes for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot any production-related issues with machinery or systems
• Inventory & Resource Management:
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring that raw materials and supplies are available for production without overstocking.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources and materials to reduce waste and maximize cost-efficiency
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed in the production area, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Foster a culture of safety, conducting regular safety briefings, risk assessments, and addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.

Qualification:

• Education:
• Diploma or B. tech
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in production management in the packaging industry, specifically in carton box manufacturing.
• Proven experience in operating both automatic and semi-automatic production lines in the packaging sector.
• Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and safety regulations in the packaging industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of analytical and technical skill.
