JOB DESCRIPTION

Rain Cements, a thirty-seven-year-old company headquartered in Hyderabad and known for manufacturing and marketing Priya Cement, is seeking an E-Commerce Buyer who will be responsible for procuring items related to various departments from B2B online marketplaces. This role requires a keen insight into the latest e-commerce trends, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the procurement process.

Role & responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and purchase necessary products and services from e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces.
• Regularly track inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock levels for all departments.
• Establish and maintain win-win relationships with vendors, ensuring the best prices, quality and delivery times.
• Negotiate favourable terms, including price, delivery, and service agreements with suppliers.
• Monitor expenditure to ensure adherence to budget limits, identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Keep accurate records of purchase orders, confirmations, and delivery notes.
• Ensure all purchases comply with the companys procurement policies and procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Commerce (BCom), Business Administration (BBA), Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Masters degree is preferred.
• At least 10 to 15 years of experience, especially in procuring a wide range of materials from online sources
• Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, online purchasing protocols, and digital marketplaces.
• Strong ability to negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
• Capability to analyse procurement data and make informed buying decisions.
• Superb organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the use of procurement software (SAP MM) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
