Network Support Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Good in Routing and Switching

• Good knowledge in Cisco-Juniper Routers switches and firewalls (Polo Alto) & good knowledge of checkpoint

• Manage Network devices across globe

• Managing High BW WAN circuits new installation upgrade etc.

• Vendor coordination System Integrators Service Providers

• Handle Cognizant Infra related projects

• Network Management through NMS Tools MRTGCA and Net flow

• Enabling Incident reports RCA and NW analysis reports to the projects

• Local Area Network connectivity troubleshooting administration and maintenance of Cisco Multilayer switches and locational switches

• Installation commissioning and maintaining of the E1 ISDN BRIPRI and Multiples Internet Links

• IP Address Designing

• Coordination with all major Service Providers

• Administration of LANWAN

• Good communication and Interpersonal skills

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking:

• Vast Experience in routing, switching, load-balancers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAN Optimizers, global site selectors, SAN fabric switches etc.

• Experience in Wireless LAN technologies, Network QOS.

• Good in SNMP, NetFlow, and Network Tools

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong understanding of standard Network Designs, Best Practices and Solutions.

• Cisco Certifications (CCNP or higher) preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with stringent timelines.

• Mentoring the team and giving technical/scenario-based training

• Prepare technical run book, SOPs, quick look troubleshooting documents.

• Experience in the below Technologies/Protocols/Products a. Technologies/Protocols:

TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, IPsec, VPN, MPLS. QoS, Multicast, dot1q, STP,

VLANS, VTP, HSRP, VoIP, WLAN, DNS, DHCP, ARP, SNMP, Net Flow, Cisco

vPC, FCoE, Cisco Fabric Path etc. b. Products: Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco

Routers, Cisco Nexus Switches, Riverbed WAN Accelerators, Cisco ASAs, Cisco WLAN products

Additional Requirements: -

• Good communication skill

• Willing to work in shifts and team work with global customers/Service providers.

Salary: - Upto 10 LPA

Location: - Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai

Experience: - 2-5 years of experience

Education: - Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science/ Diploma

engineering or relevant experience
