Position: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves preparing detailed financial reports, conducting cost analyses specific to the manufacturing environment, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing accounting and a strong understanding of industry-specific cost structures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide detailed reports to management.
2. Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
3. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring timely and accurate completion.
4. Conduct detailed cost analyses related to production, labor, overhead, and materials.
5. Collaborate with the operations team to track and manage manufacturing costs and inventory valuations.
6. Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets. Perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual results.
7. Contribute to financial forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.
8. Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
9. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls.
10. Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales etc.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in cost accounting and financial analysis within the manufacturing sector, preferably in sanitaryware or a similar industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, cost accounting.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
