Job Description
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Prepares andproperly garnishes all pantry items, including salads, sandwiches, desserts,specialty plates, and other pantry food orders in accordance with menuspecification:
Bakes allcookies and muffins and all other special requests.
Preparesappetisers, salads, vegetables, desserts for all requested banquets and roomservice functions.
Works out onfloor for special events; carving meats for customers, working pasta stationsand omelette stations.
Prepares allorders in a timely manner.
Assistsbreakfast and lead cooks in preparation of lines and set up for forecasted covers.
Checks allcooler and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of foodproducts:
Maintainscleanliness and stocking of coolers and storage areas.
Requisitionsfood with necessary approvals according to policy.
Takes propercare of ranges, ovens, boilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment.
Meets andexceeds customer and team member expectations by providing Yes I Can serviceand teamwork:
Providesvalue added service to customers by doing whatever is reasonable and possible tomeet or exceed customer expectations.
Providesemployees with the skills training to provide value added service to customers.
Utilisesone-on-one training skills.
Communicateseffectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors.
Demonstratesteamwork by co-operating and assisting co-workers as needed.
Monitorsservice and teamwork on a regular basis and counsels employees on providing Yes I Can service and teamwork.
Handlesdifficult situations effectively.
Meets Yes ICan service standards.
Performsother duties as required to provide Yes I Can service and teamwork.
Creates 100%guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performancethat demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guestexpectations
Givespersonal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork whenproviding guest service
Listens,apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolvingguest problems
Provides YesI Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes theresponsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their bestjudgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performsother duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuinehospitality
Adheres tohotel policies and procedures:
Attends workon time as scheduled.
Followshotel grooming and hygiene standards.
Minimisessafety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Keepsimmediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusualmatters of significance.
Performs allduties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance withestablished company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectivesof this position.
Maintains afavourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster andpromote co-operative and harmonious working climate.
