Maintenance Engineer

- Key Responsibilities of Engineering Supervisor :

1. Team Supervision:
   • Lead, manage, and train the engineering team to ensure optimal performance.
   • Schedule and assign tasks to team members for daily operations and maintenance duties.
   • Monitor team performance, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
2. Maintenance Management:
   • Oversee routine maintenance of hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, lighting, and more.
   • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
   • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of maintenance supplies and materials.
3. Safety & Compliance:
   • Ensure all engineering operations comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
   • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
   • Assist with emergency response protocols and ensure the team is well-trained in emergency procedures.
4. Guest and Operational Support:
   • Respond to guest complaints related to facility issues and resolve them promptly.
   • Support other hotel departments in ensuring the hotel is operating smoothly and efficiently.
   • Manage the repair or replacement of in-room equipment, amenities, and other guest-facing facilities.
5. Budgeting and Reporting:
   • Assist in the preparation and management of the department s budget, including forecasting and cost control.
   • Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, energy consumption, and other key metrics to management.
6. Project Management:
   • Oversee special projects, such as renovations, upgrades, or new installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
   • Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers when necessary.
7. Training & Development:
   • Ensure the engineering team is properly trained in operational procedures, safety protocols, and the use of tools and equipment.
   • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through training and skill development.

Requirements of the Engineering Supervisor:
-Experience in property maintenance beneficial but not essential
-Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
-Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
-Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
-Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
-Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
-Strong communication skills
