Job Description
- Participatesin the development and implementation for of business strategies for therestaurant which are aligned with Radisson s overall mission, vision values andstrategies
- Develops andimplements strategies for department
- Monitorsstatus regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
- Develops andimplements strategies for Room Service that support achievement of the hotel sgoals
- Develops andimplements strategies to achieve revenue and profit goal
- Works withFood and Beverage management to create menus and coordinate service for specialevents
- Develops andimplements special promotions and employee incentives
- Providesemployees with current up-to-date information on menu offerings
- Increasessales by coaching employees on effective sales techniques
- Controlslabor costs and maximizes productivity by using forecasting techniques toadjust scheduling
- Manages theoperation of Room Service
- Coordinatesthe set-up of Room Service in accordance with Radisson Hotels standards
- Ensuresguest orders are filled promptly
- Maintainsclean, orderly, and stocked work area
- Monitorshallways to ensure used dishware is returned promptly
- Orderssupplies and/or approves requisitions for Room Service orders
- Spot checksorders on preparation, garnishments seasoning, portion size, temperature, etc.
- Completescontrol reports
- Communicateswith other departments regarding supplies, special events, staffing, and otherareas as they pertain to Room Service
- Develops andimplements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
- Recruits andselects qualified candidates
- Providesemployees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectationsand perform job responsibilities
- Communicatesperformance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
- Providesemployees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performanceobjectives and reach their fullest potential
- Creates 100%guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performancethat demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guestexpectations
- Givespersonal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork whenproviding guest service
- Listens,apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolvingguest problems
- Assumes theresponsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their bestjudgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
- Performsother duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuinehospitality
- Adheres tohotel policies and procedures
- Followshotel grooming and hygiene standards
- Minimizesafety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
- Performs allduties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance withestablished company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectivesof this position
- Maintains afavorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster andpromote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
- At all timesprojects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public
