To ensure plant, machinery, and equipment is maintained and operates in the most efficient and productive way possible. To ensure hotel facilities and services are maintained and repaired promptly. Provide technical advice pertaining to electrical repairs and maintenance. Provide maintenance support to all departments.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
MaintainsEMS to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritises accordingly.
Complieswith the Electrical Safety regulations to ensure safe work practices.
Plans,implements and maintains electrical preventative maintenance programs.
Maintainsrooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
Understandsthe Room Preventative Maintenance Program (RPM)
Replaces orrepairs room s faulty electrical equipment.
Replaces orrepairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as needed.
Maintains anoverall appearance of the room; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, doestouch-up painting, etc.
Uses bothpower and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Performspreventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel, including boththe front and heart of house, interior and exterior.
Maintainsthe condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants.
Repairsfurniture and decorations as necessary.
Repairscarpet, marble and tiles as required.
Repairs andmaintains kitchen and laundry housekeeping equipment.
Repairs andreplaces windows and mirrors.
Attendsrelevant training to remain current on proper techniques.
Performsother tasks as directed.
Maintainsoperating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checksand repairs.
Demonstratesfamiliarity with the hotel s fire safety system and take corrective action onany maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operatingcondition of the hotel.
Handlesmaster set of keys in accordance with Brand s standards for the overallsecurity of the hotel.
Reports anyhazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action tocorrect.
Maintainsand assist in the cleanliness of individual work area.
Creates 100%guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performancethat demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guestexpectations
Givespersonal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork whenproviding guest service and experience
Listens,apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolvingguest problems
Provides YesI Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes theresponsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their bestjudgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performsother duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuinehospitality
Adheres tohotel policies and procedures:
Attends workon time and as scheduled.
Followshotel grooming, hygiene and dress standards.
Minimisesafety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Refrain frompersonal conversations with other employees at the main entrance.
Keepsimmediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusualmatters of significance.
Performs allduties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance withestablished company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectivesof this position.
Maintains afavourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster andpromote co-operative and harmonious working climate.
At all timeprojects a favourable image of Brand to the public.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum ofone year work experience in the hotel industry in Engineering
High SchoolDegree required
Able tocollaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers
Goodknowledge of building management and engineering
Good oraland written communication skills
Workingknowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and life safetyoperating systems
