JobOverview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Manager in Accounts Payable & Receivable to oversee and manage both the functions. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of invoices, managing cash flow, monitoring outstanding balances, maintaining financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all internal control policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify potential issues or areas for improvement in AP and AR processes.
• Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff on best practices and procedures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements for the AP and AR functions.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth and accurate financial reporting.

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Oversee the accounts payable process, including the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.
• Review, verify, and process payments for vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all payables and ensure timely payment processing.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
• Ensure all vendor accounts are reconciled and resolve any issues related to unpaid invoices.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, including the timely and accurate invoicing of customers.
• Monitor and track outstanding customer payments, ensuring prompt collection and resolution of overdue accounts.
• Prepare and send customer statements, following up on unpaid invoices as necessary.
• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to address any customer billing inquiries or disputes.
• Reconcile customer accounts and assist in the preparation of monthly AR reports.
• Assist with cash forecasting and ensure appropriate cash flow management.

Must haves:

• 5+ Year(s) of experience with Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• B.com (M.com/MBA/CA Inter Preferred)
