Technical Manager

Job Description :

• Concept creation, part redesigning & standardization, use of alternate material with Design For Manufacturability (DFM) approach to improve ease of manufacturability, improve cycle time/ efficiency, and reduce product cost in Fabrication, Machining & Assembly processes

Responsibilities :

• Able to clearly understand the problem definition/scope
• Should create a Design Concept and come up with multiple ideas.
• Should be able to engage with a cross-functional team of Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers (Internal and external)
• Primarily involved in Tollgate review meetings
• Conduct ECR/ECN review meetings.
• Release of drawings and Models in Teamcenter

Requirements and skills :

• B. E. Mechanical/ Industrial engineering/ Production/ Automobile with 12-15 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency working in PLM Teamcenter and Unigraphics NX, knowledge of FEA and its process
• Experience working in Manufacturing plant & Shop support activities
• Experience in creating machining, fabrication and assembly models
• Strong in GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS
• Good working knowledge of the ECN/ECR process
• Strong knowledge of various international standards [ANSI, ISO, ASTM, DIN]
• Process knowledge in Fabrication, Machining, Assembly & surface treatment processes
• Knowledge of Material selection and its applications
• Must know Design Hand calculations
• Good in using MS Office applications
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, accountability and schedule-oriented
• Flexible to work in the US time zone for effective team engagement (as needed)
• Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
• Knowledge and experience in KPI management, ensuring key performance indicators are tracked and met
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders
• Commitment to adhering to Customer quality management systems, ensuring that all processes and procedures meet the highest standards
• Ability to interact and guide suppliers
