TERMINALS AND PIPELINES \u2013 TECHNICAL LEADER

Position Overview:

The Terminal and Pipeline Technical Leader is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and guiding a multidisciplinary team consisting of Process Engineers, GIS Specialists, Mechanical Pipeline Engineers, Integrity Engineers, Design Drafters, and Instrument Engineers. The leader ensures that all technical activities related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of pipeline and terminal systems are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational goals.
• Ensure the integrity and reliability of pipeline and terminal infrastructure through effective design, analysis, and maintenance strategies.
• Guide the GIS team in mapping and spatial analysis to support pipeline planning and monitoring.
• Oversee instrumentation and control system designs, leak detection systems, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize system performance and operational efficiency.
• Provide Technical guidance to Pipeline Inspection Engineers and ensure technical review of Inline and Non Destructive testing results for further actions
• Review and approve technical drawings, schematics, calculations, and documentation produced by design drafters.
• Ensure all designs and operations comply with relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies for pipeline and terminal systems.
• Promote a safety-first culture within the team and across all projects.
• Foster collaboration and coordination across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of technical inputs.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and skill enhancement.
• Oversee the design and implementation of pipeline and terminal systems, ensuring alignment with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Facilitate regular progress reviews and ensure issues are identified and resolved promptly.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, and clients.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments to align technical activities with broader organizational objectives.
• Identify and implement innovative technologies and best practices to enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of pipeline and terminal systems.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline).

Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in pipeline and terminal engineering, with a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary Pipeline teams.

Extensive knowledge of pipeline and terminal systems, including design, construction, operation, and maintenance.

Work Environment:

- Office-based with minimum site visits to terminals and pipeline facilities.

- May require travel to remote locations and collaboration with cross-functional teams in different regions during project meeting.
