Job Description
Job Role :
The Engineer shall be responsible for the assigned tasks related to the development of all the activities and deliverables to Material Selection and Corrosion Control Management for a Project, in accordance with Industry Design Codes, Norms, Best Practices, etc. Including all the areas related to Corrosion Mitigation (material selection, process conditions, linings, design control etc. . ) and Corrosion Monitoring (CC, CP, OSI, RBI, etc. . . ). The Engineer shall have adequate experience to adopt a practical approach to material selection and fabrication problems and be familiar with the requirements/interactions of other engineering disciplines.
The Engineer shall be prepared for the emission of all the Project Specifications required to include the necessary additional fabrication material requirements, welding, tests, corrosion monitoring, painting and coating, insulation and refractory and shall also be a focal point to give all the necessary technical support required by Site not only for corrosion and materials but also for painting, coating, welding, insulation and failure analysis.
Additionally, will have a strong background and expertise on metallurgy and corrosion and will be able to carry out corrosion risk assesments and other Corrosion and material selection studies for multiple projects.
Key Objectives Responsibilities of the role
- Development of all the Material Selection and Corrosion Control deliverables such as Corrosion Control Philosophies, Material Selection Report, Material Selection Diagrams, Corrosion Loops, CRAs etc. .
- High technical knowledge and interpretation of the diferent Processes, HM Balance, Process data, PFDs, Corrosion Variables, Corrosion Rate Calculations, Environmental Data, PIDs, Line List, etc.
- Study and implementation of the Corrosion mitigation strategy including Corrosion Rate Calculations and Inhibition requirements.
- Revision of different project documentation important for the Corrosion control such as Process Datasheet, Piping Classes, Design, Fabrication and Inspection documents.
- Emission of Project Specifications (Materials, Welding, Painting, Thermal insulation etc. ).

- Emission of Project Specifications (Materials, Welding, Painting, Thermal insulation etc. ).
- Technical support to other disciplines for the revision of vendor deviations during technical tabulation and fabrication.
- Technical support to other disciplines for the development of the Piping classes, Line Lists etc. .
- Revision of Vendor documents such as Material Technical Purchase Specification, Painting, Coating, and Refractory.
- Technical support for Site Decision for the management of the deviations, waivers, doubts, studies and analysis related to corrosion, materials, painting, insulation and failure.
- Knowledge in Data Analysis, Technical Consulting and Data Collection in implementation of Asset Integrity Management (AIM)
- Engineering Management Activities such as Engineering Progress reporting and coordinating if necessary.
- Assist to Project Managers in technical coordination with other engineering disciplines and Client when necessary.

Management of codes, norms, manuals and standard as API, ISO, ASME, AWS, AWWA, ASM, ASTM, EN, ANSI, NACE, EFC, NORSOK, NIDI, PED applicable to specific areas of Material Selection, Fabrication and Corrosion Control. Essential
Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements. Essential
Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and other project personnel. Essential
Self-motivated and quick learner. Essential
Excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. Essential
Able to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as required Essential
