Job Description

- Communicates technical issues and recommends solutions to Supervisor and/or project management.

- Conducts reviews of vendor drawings, calculations and other documentation.
- Works on conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
- Prepares cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.
- Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists and designers.
- Performing risk and value management and cost control functions.
- Reviewing the overall status of the MEP works reporting on the progress of all MEP aspects of the project to the project director, design and commercial team.
- Scheduling of design reviews at all gateways and control points.
- Organising and managing technical review team resources and input.
- Developing and monitoring the client brief, directing the fast-track high-end design delivery scope and execution of the scheme.
- Overseeing the billing, BOQ, and design.
- Developing a high-performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost, and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
- Being able to anticipate in advance clash detection of services.
- Guiding site for execution, sequentially with strict control on quality and safety norms.
- Being able to conclude with consultant drawings and designs as per customer requirements
- Ensures engineering is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the overall technical quality of all deliverables produced within the civil/structural discipline.
- Provide leadership to the engineering team, setting strategic direction based on scope and priorities.
- Planning and defining strategic goals, and executing strategies for completing projects on time
- Provide design and constructability feedback and suggestions to development design and analysis to meet client requirements
- Approve documents affecting Engineering Scope; invoke change management principles
- Interface with Clients / Customers, Partners and Third-Party stakeholders
- Identify scope creep and manage scope changes through change control process
Work Experience
- Provide technical assistance and input on projects, for the purpose of ensuring delivery of a consistent, quality product to the client
- BS degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 25 years\ experience in Mechanical systems
- Responsible for Cleanroom and Advanced Laboratory Mechanical Design from Programming through Construction Administration
- Engineering calculations to ensure clean class, temperature, humidity and acoustical noise requirements are met
- Ultra-High purity piping design for HPM Labs and Cleanrooms
- Process systems, piping and plumbing design for Cleanrooms and Labs.
- Develop construction specifications and designs for HVAC equipment, Process systems such as clean dry air, process vacuum, DI water, Cooling Water systems, Acid Waste Neutralization, Exhaust systems, cooling towers.
- Building Automation Systems Controls and Instrumentation designs in conjunction with Electrical and Process Engineers.
- Acoustical Noise Interference analysis, modeling and abatement
- Basis of Design and Schematics
- Prepare or modify drawings/BIM models in conjunction with CAD/REVIT team at all stages of design
- Research, create and update relevant product and system specifications, to meet technical needs of the client.
- Monitor and coordinate interdisciplinary work for compliance to applicable mechanical codes, accepted engineering practices and standards. Apply IBC, NFPA, ASTM, and SMACNA requirements to mechanical designs.
- Construction Administration including RFI and Submittal responses
- Planning and project management responsibility for the architecture trade within general planning and EPCM projects
- Development and planning of innovative architectural solutions and designs in the field of object planning with a focus on service in Concept/ Basic and Detail Design phases for complex projects, buildings and facilities in the high-tech industry
- Content-related and organizational leadership responsibility for expert planning teams in the field of architecture
- Management of the planning process in general planning projects as well as higher level content coordination and interface to internal and external planning stakeholders
- Advising our customers as well as sparring with internal departments regarding planning processes
- Successfully completed studies in architecture or a comparable qualification
- Several years of in-depth professional experience in a comparable position with planning or project management responsibility at a general planning company
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel on a project-related basis
- Independent, conceptual, structured, and cross-discipline work
- Solution-oriented negotiation skills as well as a good feel for people and facts
- Quality Management Experience
- Autocad Revit Experience
- Experience in Bim Coordination
