Senior Software Engineer - C++ linux

Objective :

GEHC MR Engineering unit is engaged in developing most technologically advanced MRI scanners and comprehensive range of applications solutions to address various clinical imaging needs of the healthcare industry.

GEHC MR Engineering organization is seeking proposal from GEHC approved software partners to augment their engineering resource requirements in the area of software development.

Role: System trouble shooting and testing

Responsibilities includes (but not limited to)

• Be the first contact for troubleshooting MR Software problems on the Target and Bay pertaining to MR SW Compute work which includes\u2026
  • available to support, investigate issues and turn around solutions quickly to prevent bay down time or bay issues go unresolved
  • collecting failure data, log SPR, attempt to reproduce and do triage and fixing
• Part of Installed Base / First Response Team for first level troubleshooting support
• Actively participate with Global MR SW Compute team in Agile ceremonies
• Execute manual and exploratory tests specific to MR SW Compute
• Develop processes and procedures as needed and communicate any specific changes in LFC or Compute install processes to local Techs (who maintain targets and bays)
• Maintain MR SW Compute dashboard for tests (automated and manual)

Required Skillsets

• Exposure to OS (Linux variants) installation and trouble shooting
• Experience with object oriented and modular Linux OS programming and maintaining infrastructure on X86 systems.
• Hands on experience in trouble shooting of problems on computer systems
• Experience in Linux software packaging, install technologies and various scripting tools such as Bash, Python
• Ability to triage and fix defects in Bash, Perl, C and C++ programs.
• Manual and auto testing specific to compute HW and Operating System
• Version Control tools such as Perforce or gitLab

Desired Technical Expertise

• Demonstrated expertise with Linux Service Packs adoption, security patch installation.
• Experience with automated test suites infrastructure - test case development, automation, and continuous integration.
• Familiarity with C++ and Python IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, CLion, PyCharm)
• Familiarity with scripting and C++ programming with Object oriented programing concepts applied in a production software environment.
• Experience with Cyber security tools, pen testing, vulnerabilities diagnosis and delivering software fixes.

Other Requirements:

• Work location is @ GEHC JFWTC campus in Bangalore

• Partners would absorb the loss of productivity for GEHC in case of outages of long duration/vacation of SW Partner resources.

• SW Partner accurately tracks and reports time sheets of team members on weekly basis
