Job Title: Head of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Location: Noida, WFO.
Reports to: VP Marketing.
Job Overview:
- The Head of SEO is responsible for developing and executing a high-impact SEO strategy aimed at increasing inbound leads through the company website.
- This role focuses on improving organic search rankings, optimizing landing pages, and managing a smooth user journey to reduce bounce rates and increase conversion rates.
- You will lead the SEO team and manage external vendors and coordinate with teams including content writers, web developers, and designers, ensuring all work is aligned with the company's SEO and lead generation goals.
- The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale SEO initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy and inbound lead generation:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy focused on driving high-quality inbound leads from organic search and overall traffic from direct, referral, brand traffic.
- Continuously optimize SEO efforts to increase traffic, leads, and conversions, ensuring the company's website is the primary driver for organic growth.
Landing Page Optimization:
- Lead the creation and optimization of landing pages to ensure they are SEO-friendly, conversion-focused, and aligned with lead generation goals.
- Collaborate with the content, design, and web development teams to create high-performing landing pages that convert organic traffic into qualified leads.
Keyword Research & Focused Content Strategy:
- Conduct detailed, focused keyword research to identify target terms that attract the right audience and drive inbound traffic.
- Work with content teams and external vendors to create SEO-driven content that addresses user intent and generates traffic.
Bounce Rate Reduction & User Experience (UX):
- Optimize website architecture and content layout to enhance user experience and reduce bounce rates.
- Ensure that the website structure, navigation, and content are designed for optimal engagement, minimizing bounce rates and improving time on site.
Website Management & Technical SEO:
- Oversee the technical SEO health of the website, ensuring all pages are optimized for speed, mobile responsiveness, and crawlability.
- Work closely with the web development team to resolve technical issues, such as broken links, slow load times, and crawl errors.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and teams including content writers, web developers, and designers, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables that align with SEO objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and sales to align SEO efforts with broader business goals.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to monitor SEO performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies based on data.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on SEO performance, organic traffic growth, and keyword rankings.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of SEO efforts, such as organic traffic growth, conversions, and keyword rankings.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing SEO team, ensuring they stay informed of the latest SEO trends and techniques.
- Provide training and guidance to other teams on SEO best practices and the importance of organic growth initiatives.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Partner with paid search, social media, performance marketing, and content teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and development teams to ensure a seamless SEO experience across all digital touchpoints.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in developing and executing large-scale SEO strategies with measurable results.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO best practices.
- Expertise with SEO tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console among others.
- Experience with both local and international SEO strategies.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, lead generation, and their interplay with SEO.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
