About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced US Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of US payroll for our employees.
- You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local tax laws.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly/monthly US payroll for all employees, including hourly and salaried employees.
- Calculate and process various payroll deductions, such as federal, state, and local taxes, health insurance, retirement contributions, and other voluntary deductions.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Prepare and file various payroll tax reports, including 941, 940, and state unemployment tax reports.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and identify any potential discrepancies.
- Research and implement best practices for payroll processing.
- Participate in payroll-related projects, such as system implementations and process improvements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current payroll laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments as needed.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality requirements related to employee data.
Skills Required:
- 6-8 years of experience in US Payroll processing.
- Experience with payroll transitions preferred.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with payroll processing software such as Workday, SAP, or ADP.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
- Willingness to work in the US time zone.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience with ADP Global View.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Payroll Certification (e. , CPP)
