- We are seeking an experienced Associate Vice President of Payroll to lead and oversee our client-facing payroll operations.
- The AVP will manage a team of Payroll Managers and Supervisors while driving strategies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- This role involves working closely with department leadership and clients to deliver seamless payroll services across our organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage payroll managers across a designated region of our nationwide operations.
- Formulate and implement strategies, policies, and SOPs for the payroll function.
- Assist with payroll software training and process optimization, ensuring best practices.
- Support, train, and communicate with employees within the payroll department.
- Collaborate with department leadership and mentor payroll managers to foster professional growth.
- Work closely with new clients to integrate payroll services efficiently.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of payroll-related activities, meeting daily and weekly deadlines.
- Travel as required to provide hands-on support and leadership.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent).
- 4+ years of experience in payroll operations.
- 4+ years of management experience in the payroll function.
- 4+ years of experience in the PEO (Professional Employer Organization) industry.
Licenses and Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is mandatory for this role
