Senior SAP Basis Consultant - ECC Module (5-8 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and administration for our SAP landscape. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

System Upgrades and Migrations :

- Lead and execute complex SAP system upgrades (e., ECC to S/4HANA, version upgrades, SP/Kernel upgrades).

- Plan and execute OS/DB migrations (e., Oracle to HANA).

- Manage system copies for both ABAP and Java stack systems.

Database Administration :

- Deep expertise in Oracle and HANA databases, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security hardening.

- Collaborate with database administrators to resolve complex database-related issues.

Cloud Expertise :

- Experience working in cloud environments (e. , AWS, Azure, GCP) and leveraging cloud-native SAP solutions.

System Support :

- Provide 24x7 support for SAP ECC, Portal, BI/BW Data Warehouse, Business Objects, PI, SRM.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SAP systems and their underlying infrastructure.

- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential problems.

Security Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with relevant security policies and regulations.

- Implement and maintain security measures for SAP systems.

System Administration :

- Proficient in system administration tasks, including user management, authorizations, and system configuration.

Project Involvement :

- Participate in SAP implementation and upgrade projects, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.

- Strong experience in OS/DB migration, SAP Version upgrade, and S4HANA Installation/Conversion.

- Proven experience working with Oracle and HANA databases.

- Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP preferred).

- Expertise in RHEL operating system.

- In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC, Portal, BI/BW Data Warehouse, Business Objects, PI, SRM.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong understanding of ITIL best practices.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager.

- Experience with SAP HANA Cloud.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e., Python, Perl).

- Experience with automation tools.

- Relevant SAP certifications
