Quess Corp is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Professional to lead the financial management and strategic planning efforts.
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate finance for the Indian entity, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, managing treasury functions, handling direct and indirect taxation matters, and maintaining familiarity with SEBI regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance within the Indian corporate landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Finance:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Evaluate and manage capital allocation decisions to optimize shareholder value
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and board of directors Financial Reporting and Consolidation:
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and consolidation of financial results
- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and regulatory filings
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and recommend necessary adjustments to financial reporting practices.
Controllership and Accounting under IND AS:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with IND AS
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
Direct and Indirect Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws and regulations
- Coordinate with tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies and minimize tax liabilities
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and evaluate their implications on the company's financial standing
Familiarity with SEBI Regulations:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of SEBI regulations and compliance requirements
- Ensure that the company's financial disclosures and communications comply with SEBI guidelines
- Liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary to address any inquiries or issues
Qualifications:
- CA is Mandatory.
- Minimum of 14-16+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (IND AS) and regulatory requirements
- Proven track record of managing treasury functions, financial reporting, and taxation in a listed company environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on driving results and fostering a culture of accountability and integrity
