Design Lead - UI/UX

As a Design Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all Product UI/UX design processes and ensuring that projects are being executed both excellently and efficiently.

You will work closely with the product team, other functions to conceptualize and execute designs to solve problems. You may manage a team of designers, and work closely and inclusively with a broad range of stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Research and analysis, overseeing a variety of design projects such as interactive design, and gauging the performance of designing strategies implemented
• You will conduct the initial design frameworks and help the team with specifications needed in specific projects, using multiple software and digital boards
• Assist the team with ideas and provide them with creative input for new designs
• Design interactive user interfaces and oversee all the necessary design changes that are to be made
• Collaborate with development teams to make sure that all the essential design specifications are implemented with accuracy
• Ability to develop quick design ideas based on briefs provided and ensure that all deadlines are followed
• Create design prototypes, features, and specifications for the company based on consumer/user insights
• Interact with Business Heads/Users to understand their needs and develop better products/websites/applications
• Promote a spirit of innovation and creativity within the design team to ensure that new ideas keep coming
• Capable of working on large or complex projects (or multiple small/mid-size projects) while maintaining momentum and quality
• Conducts primary and secondary research to discover unknowns and to explore trends, perspectives, and applications in the field (including market research, stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiry/ ethnographic observation, etc.)
• Effectively manage a team of designers and provide creative direction and input on all design-related projects and functions
• Translate complex concepts and interactions into visually coherent wireframes and prototypes
• Develop and maintain design systems and standards to ensure consistency across all projects and platforms
• Oversee the entire design process from concept to execution, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality
• Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure that designs are feasible and meet technical requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
• 7 years of experience in a design role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or

management position

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work across different mediums and platforms
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or equivalent software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels
• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating and inspiring teams to achieve their best work
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• An eye for detail and analytical skills to read and take inputs from the audience and market research data
• Strong knowledge of various designing processes and prior experience in managing them
• Familiarity with the latest technology that has become standard in the industry
