Cisco Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:

Design, implement, and configure Cisco-based network solutions to support organizational needs.
Develop and execute network designs, configurations, and upgrades for routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Configure and deploy Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network hardware.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the network infrastructure meets performance, security, and scalability requirements.
Network Configuration and Troubleshooting:

Perform initial setup, configuration, and testing of network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN concentrators.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to connectivity, latency, performance, and security.
Monitor network performance to ensure stability and recommend improvements where necessary.
Provide hands-on support for issues related to network infrastructure and protocols.
Network Security:

Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall configurations, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
Ensure that network systems are secure, protected from unauthorized access, and comply with company security policies.
Monitor and assess network security risks and apply patches or fixes as required.
Perform regular audits of network configurations and security settings.
Network Monitoring and Maintenance:

Continuously monitor network performance and health using network management tools and software.
Identify network bottlenecks and areas of improvement, ensuring smooth network operations.
Perform routine network maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades and network device patching."
