Job Description

Designation: Functional Project Manager

Experience: 10+ years

Location: Gurugram (Work from Office)

Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of projects within our organization for multiple clients. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with cross- functional teams to drive collaboration and ensure that project objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources required.

- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

- Execute project plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project milestones are met.

- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

Resource Management:

- Allocate resources effectively to ensure that project tasks are completed on schedule.

- Coordinate with resource managers to assign project team members and establish clear roles and responsibilities.

- Monitor resource utilization and make changes as needed to optimize project performance.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks.

- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross- functional teams to ensure alignment and promote transparency.

- Address stakeholder concerns and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

Budget Management:

- Develop project budgets and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.

- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization to ensure projects are completed within budget.

Quality Assurance:

- Establish quality standards and metrics for project deliverables.

- Monitor project quality throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure deliverables meet quality standards. Conduct post- project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Technology / Business Administration. Masters degree is preferred.

- Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 7 to 10 years in a functional project management role.

- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 certification preferred

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross- functional teams

- Experience in working from the client location will be a plus

- Technological bend of mind, should be able to contribute technically toward the project

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to stakeholders at all levels

- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks

- Proficiency in project management software and tools

- Experience working in Insurance industry is preferred
