Test Lead

Test Leads are responsible for overseeing all the activities of the testing team, including managing the team, overseeing projects and managing operations. Here are the relevant duties:

Coordinating with the senior test engineer to stay current with all the activities performed by the testing team

Providing mentorship and guidance to the testing team in working towards a common goal

Creating project timelines, allocating resources, defining budgets and monitoring progress

Overseeing the testing activities, including preparation of test cases, scenarios, data, framework and strategy, and suggesting improvements wherever necessary

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key participants, such as clients, customers, vendors and internal teams

Conducting one-on-one meetings with employees to learn about their concerns and collect feedback, which they incorporate into daily operations

Creating a workplace that values creativity, autonomy and work life balance to ensure employees stay motivated

Evaluating and improving operational processes, workflows and procedures within the testing team

Conducting risk analysis, assessing its impact on daily operations and devising strategies to mitigate them

Presenting detailed reports to the senior management to aid decision-making policies

Ensuring adherence to the companys policies and guidelines for testing standards and procedures, and the test data management, environment and infrastructure
