Hiring Criteria:

Mandatory:

- Strong Data Analytics profiles from Product Companies

- 3+ YOE in Data Analytics using BI tools like PowerBI, CoPilot, metabase, Tableau

- Strong work experience in analysis business Data to identify insights, and trends

- Strong experience with ETL & Data Modelling using Python or R (Must have good experience in either of the language for ETL work)

- Must have 2+ YOE with any databases - MySQL / PostgreSQL / Postgres / Oracle / SQL Server / DB2 / Mongo DB / SQL

- Product Company only (Highly preferred if experience in Logistics, Supply-Chain products)

Preferred:

- Must have exp with AWS / Azure/ GCP

Role & Responsibilities:

About the Role:

Data Analytics Engineer is an Individual Contributor role who provides actionable insights to multiple stakeholders ( both internal and external ) & will be part of the centralized data team in Freight Tiger and owns both the compute & publish layer for all the products of FT.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insights:

- Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.

- Provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Reporting & Visualization:

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful dashboards and reports in Power BI.

- Leverage Power BI features like DAX, Power Query, and advanced charting to create visually compelling and user-friendly reports.

- Ensure reports and dashboards are optimized for performance and scalability.

- Manage reporting layer (PowerBI), dashboards deployment and version control.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements.

- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment.

Data Governance and Quality:

- Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reporting solutions.

- Advocate for best practices in data visualization, analytics, and governance.

- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory data policies.

Leadership and Mentoring:

- Lead and mentor junior analysts to develop their skills in data analytics and visualization.

- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Tool and Technology Expertise:

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Power BI and other analytics tools.

- Evaluate and implement new BI tools and methodologies to enhance reporting capabilities.

Ideal Candidate:

Must Have Skills:

Technical Expertise:

- 5-8 years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence.

- Proficiency in Power BI, Copilot, Summarize and custom visuals.

- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

- Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.

Analytical Skills:

- Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.

- Expertise in analyzing business problems and developing data-driven solutions.

Communication Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience with other BI tools like Metabase, Quicksight, Apache Superset and Tableau.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Factory).

- Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics.

- Experience working any of the public cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP

- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.

- Industry experience in domains like logistics, supply chain, finance, healthcare, or e-commerce.

- Good to have experience working with or understanding of machine learning models and GenAI.
