Job Title: Experienced Sound Engineer (Sales Productions & Programming Interstitials)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sound Engineer with a blend of technical expertise and creative flair to handle sales productions and design programming interstitials. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality audio content that supports both advertising and programming needs across a network of 18 cities. The ideal candidate should also have a solid background in music, with the ability to contribute as an instrumentalist and vocalist when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Production:
   
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to produce high-quality audio content for advertisements, promos, and sponsored segments.
• Ensure that the audio content aligns with the clients branding and messaging while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Create compelling sound design and mixes for advertisements, including voiceovers, jingles, and music beds.
2. Programming Interstitials:
   
• Design and produce interstitials (short audio segments) to enhance the flow of programming.
• Create seamless transitions between segments, including shows, music, ads, and station identification.
• Experiment with sound effects, jingles, and short musical compositions to keep the programming fresh and engaging.
3. Sound Engineering & Mixing:
   
• Record, edit, and mix sound for various radio shows, ads, and events, ensuring excellent audio quality.
• Manage sound during live recordings and broadcasts, troubleshooting any issues in real-time.
• Oversee the post-production process to ensure clarity and consistency in sound across all content.
4. Instrumental & Vocal Contribution:
   
• Use your skills as an instrumentalist and vocalist to creatively contribute to jingles, promos, and other audio productions.
• Collaborate with the creative team to enhance the musical quality of advertisements and programming interstitials.
5. Client Collaboration:
   
• Work closely with sales and client teams to understand their needs and create audio content that meets their objectives.
• Present and refine audio drafts based on feedback from clients and internal teams.
6. Audio Branding:
   
• Develop and implement sound branding strategies that reflect the brand’s unique identity.
• Ensure consistent audio branding across all cities and programming platforms.
7. Equipment Management:
   
• Maintain and operate sound equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition.
• Recommend upgrades to audio systems and tools based on evolving needs.
8. Team Collaboration:
   
• Coordinate with RJs, producers, and the programming team to align audio production with overall station goals.
• Assist in live events and recordings, ensuring all technical aspects of sound are handled smoothly.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in sound engineering, with a focus on radio, music production, or related fields.
• Skills:
• Expertise in audio mixing, sound design, and post-production.
• Ability to play one or more musical instruments and provide vocal contributions.
• Proficiency in sound software.
• Additional Expertise: Experience in creating sales-related audio content and branded interstitials.
• Education: Degree or certification in Sound Engineering, Music Production, or related fields preferred.
• Creative Flair: Ability to translate client briefs into creative audio content that captures attention.
