  • Write academic reports according to the school’s schedule, detailing student progress, strengths, areas for improvement, and final outcomes.
  • Attend Parent-Teacher meetings and communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and ways to support academic growth.
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning, differentiating content and delivery to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Wider Professional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Economics and Business Studies Departments and across the school to share best practices, teaching strategies, and resources.
  • Assist with extra-curricular activities such as business clubs, mock business competitions, and economics-focused events as directed by the Head of Department.

  • Participate in staff development opportunities, including induction, professional learning, and performance management processes.
  • Contribute to super-curricular activities, such as student-led business projects, entrepreneurship initiatives, and other school outreach programs.

Pastoral and Co-Curricular

  • Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, supporting students’ academic and personal development.
  • Act as a Personal Tutor for a group of students, providing mentorship and guidance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Participate in the school’s co-curricular activities, including business-related clubs, school trips, and educational initiatives.
  • Encourage students to understand the wider implications of business decisions, including social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical considerations.
