Role Overview: We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, manage, and optimize data pipelines and dashboarding platforms. In this role, you will ensure data integrity and reliability across diverse sources, enabling actionable insights through robust data models and visualizations. Additionally, you will lead and mentor one team member, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor one team member, providing technical guidance, support, and fostering professional growth.
• Data Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines integrating a variety of structured and unstructured data sources. Ensure uptime, monitoring, and accuracy of data flows across systems.
• Data Warehouse / Data Lake Management: Take ownership of the existing data warehouse and data lake. Independently review the current setup, processes, and data flows to quickly get up to speed. Ensure the seamless integration and joining of diverse datasets to enable comprehensive analysis and reporting.
• Data Accuracy & Transformation: Perform ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into usable formats for analytics. Conduct audits to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Data Modeling: Build, optimize, and maintain robust data models to support business intelligence and analytics use cases.
• Dashboard and Visualization Development: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design dashboards tailored to market-specific needs. Create meaningful data visualizations and reports using platforms such as Datorama/Salesforce Intelligence.
• Collaboration: Work with data owners (IT, media, and client teams) and business users to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions. Partner with business teams to enhance decision-making capabilities through improved data insights.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Debug and troubleshoot data pipeline and data warehouse issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions. Continuously look for opportunities to optimize performance and scalability of data infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in building and managing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and transformation techniques.
• Hands-on experience working with (building and / or managing) data warehouses
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex data issues within data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Experience working with data lakes and managing huge data sets for analytics use cases
• Proficiency with dashboarding tools such as Datorama/Salesforce Intelligence or similar.
• Solid understanding of data integration with media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Campaign Manager, Facebook, Adobe Analytics).
• Experience managing or mentoring team members is highly preferred.

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in Python for data engineering workflows.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and transforming data.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, or Kafka).
