Job Description

Surveyor cum QA/QC Engineer

Project Name: Project Management Consultancy Services (PMC) for Construction of Double line electrified Railway Track with signalling and telecommunication system and related infrastructure for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Project.

Functional Area: Surveyor cum QA/QC Engineer

Location: Navi Mumbai

Duration: 12 months

Qualification: Minimum B.E./B.Tech. (Civil) / Diploma (Civil).

Overall Professional Experience: More than 4 years for B.E./B. Tech. Candidates and 6 years for Diploma Candidates.

Experience in similar position: more than 4 years experience in execution of works related to Surveyor cum QA/QC works.

Preferred Age: Below 40 years.

Functional Role: Candidate shall be responsible for:

Control Management Support - Claim control, Manage change control

Quality Assurance and Quality Control - QA system, assist in QA programme submitted by Contractors,

Inspect Testing all material and facilities/devices

Coordinate with respective HQ and divisions of Zonal Railways and DFCCIL Regional / Site Offices

Carry out Regular Site Inspection - Conduct regular field checks and tests to ensure that work has been carried out as per agreed specification and standards, Specify the system of test checks for Contractors Requests for Inspection (RFI) at all appropriate level by Supervisor, ARE, and RE.

Test: material, works and equipment, as necessary and required Inspect Testing all material and facilities/devices

Carry out all tests specified in the related schedule of the Contract and issue Completion Certificate / Provisional Certificate.

As Built Drawings for each component of the works

Scrutinize registration of daily consumption of material, various activities / output of design and construction activities to be maintained by contractor

Reporting to Dy. CRE / RE / ARE at project Site office and OC India HO.
