Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in real estate finance and balance sheet management to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, with in-depth knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and real estate transactions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial strategy and growth of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Accounting:
    • Prepare and review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
    • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
    • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Real Estate Finance:
    • Manage the accounting for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, developments, and leasing activities.
    • Prepare financial models and forecasts for real estate projects, including cash flows, profitability analysis, and ROI evaluations.
    • Analyze and manage real estate portfolios, including assessment of market trends and impact on financials.
    • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as property managers, developers, and financial institutions, for project financing and reporting.
  • Balance Sheet Management:
    • Monitor and manage balance sheet items such as investments, assets, liabilities, and equity.
    • Identify and manage financial risks related to real estate investments and other business activities.
    • Reconcile intercompany balances, and prepare monthly/quarterly variance analysis reports.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth auditing processes.
    • Review and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and tax compliance, including VAT, GST, TDS, and other local taxes.
    • Assist with tax planning and ensure timely filing of corporate tax returns.
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making at senior management levels.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities, financing options, and capital structure for real estate projects.
    • Prepare financial projections, budgets, and long-term forecasts, identifying areas of cost optimization and financial growth.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and development teams, to ensure financial processes align with business goals.
    • Supervise and mentor junior finance team members, providing guidance on financial and accounting practices.

    • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) with a valid membership from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) or equivalent.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and finance, with a significant focus on real estate finance and balance sheet management.
    • Proven experience in managing real estate projects, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
    • Experience with real estate taxation, including property tax, GST/VAT, and stamp duty, is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle) and proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling tools.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights to senior management.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
