Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data visualization principles and have a proven track record of creating impactful dashboards and reports using Tableau. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into compelling visual stories, enabling data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities :
Dashboard and Report Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Create visually appealing and insightful visualizations that effectively communicate data insights.
- Optimize dashboard performance for large datasets and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Develop and implement best practices for data visualization and dashboard design.
Data Analysis and Modeling :
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop data models and calculations within Tableau to support reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Tableau.
Requirements Gathering and Collaboration :
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data visualization solutions.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to ensure dashboard accuracy and usability.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau dashboards and reports.
Tableau Server Administration (Optional) :
- Manage Tableau Server environments, including user access, permissions, and performance monitoring.
- Schedule and automate data refreshes and report distributions.
- Troubleshoot server-related issues and ensure system stability.
Data Governance :
- Adhere to data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Technical Skills :
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop, including creating complex calculations, parameters, and filters.
- Expertise in creating various chart types (e.g., bar charts, line charts, scatter plots, maps).
- Experience with Tableau's mapping capabilities and geospatial data.
- Experience connecting Tableau to various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, cloud databases, Excel, CSV).
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Experience creating data extracts and data blending in Tableau
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights effectively.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with ETL processes.
Soft Skills :
