Quality Assurance Tech Lead - Automation Testing (8-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient QA Tech Lead to drive our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, automation, and team leadership. You will be responsible for leading a team of QA engineers, developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires a deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and cutting-edge testing tools and technologies.

Responsibilities :

Team Leadership and Mentorship :

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Test Strategy and Planning :

- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

- Define test scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product managers and developers.

- Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements and technical specifications.

Test Automation :

- Design and implement robust test automation frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.

- Drive the adoption of automation best practices and ensure efficient test execution.

- Maintain and enhance existing automation suites.

Test Execution and Defect Management :

- Oversee the execution of test cases and ensure timely reporting of defects.

- Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution.

- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement preventive measures.

CI/CD Integration :

- Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and delivery.

- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

Performance and Security Testing :

- Plan and execute performance and security testing to ensure application scalability and security.

- Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks.

- Ensure security testing best practices are followed.

Staying Current :

- Stay up to date on the latest testing trends and technologies.

Technical Skills :

Programming Languages :

- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Test Automation Tools :

- Strong experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, pytest, or Robot Framework.

- Experience with API testing tools, such as Postman or RestAssured.

CI/CD Tools :

- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.

Cloud Platforms :

- Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Databases :

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Testing Methodologies :

- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.

Test Management Tools :

- Experience with test management tools, such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.

Operating systems :

- Understanding of various operating systems, Windows, Linux, etc.

Networking Fundamentals :

- Basic understanding of networking concepts.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 8-10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.

- Proven experience in leading and managing QA teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB.
