Purchase Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Research suppliers: Find potential suppliers and evaluate their offers
• Negotiate contracts: Negotiate with suppliers on prices and terms of agreement
• Build relationships: Maintain relationships with vendors and shipping companies
• Track orders: Ensure orders are delivered on time and in the correct quantity
• Review quality: Check the quality of the materials received
• Manage inventory: Analyze demand and forecast future needs to avoid shortages
• Create policies: Develop and implement purchasing policies and strategies
• Manage costs: Control the purchasing department budget and manage costs
• Record management: Keep records of ordered and received goods
• Resolve issues: Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve shortages or late deliveries

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles, ideally with increasing responsibility.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in procurement systems and tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Understanding of market trends and supplier landscape.
• Soft Skills:
• Negotiation: Excellent ability to negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate procurement updates.
• Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery
