We are searching for a highly talented Business Development Executive to maximize and develop all commercial aspects of our events portfolio.
You will develop relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in large blue chip organizations and SMEs to establish viable leads and maximize business development opportunities. Essentially, you will sell delegate pass and group pass packages across multiple industry sectors to ensure targets are met in line with projected sales forecasts. You will take ownership of sales campaign planning and be fully responsible for data management.
Key Responsibilities :
Analyze the vendor market place for each event and defining commercial categories
Sell to new and existing clients across a diverse portfolio of large-scale international conferences
Deliver revenue targets on your allocated events, you will research your market and develop your leads from research stage through to close
Manage and update your pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts
Researching brand new leads for each conference
Engaging prospects on commercial opportunities to be gained from the event value proposition and relevant USPs
Create bespoke packages based on prior insight and making recommendations
Broker opportunities with senior decision makers via phone and email
Closing business and ensuring the event exceeds all sponsorship and exhibition financial targets
The Person :
Minimum one years of relevant B2B sales experience, ideally within a conferencing/exhibition business
A demonstrable track record of exceeding targets
Experience selling on launch (and repeat) events across different industry sectors
An ability to rapidly understand new topics and industries and identify the key sectors to sell into
Telephone and face-to-face sales experience
New business development and key account management
Flawless communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
Sales planning and accurate sales forecasting
Lead sourcing through competitive event canvassing
Concurrent sales activity across multiple events
Willing to travel overseas to manage clients on-site at event
