Job Purpose: The AVP Finance will lead and manage the organizations financial audit and taxation functions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. This role requires a strong background in financial governance, internal control frameworks, and the ability to navigate complex tax structures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Audit Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of internal and external audits.
Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard the company s financial integrity.
Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and other statutory requirements.
Collaborate with external auditors to manage audit processes and address findings effectively.
Provide actionable recommendations for process improvement and risk mitigation based on audit results.
Manage and oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, Income Tax, and TDS filings.
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities in alignment with business goals.
Liaise with tax authorities and handle assessments, appeals, and litigations.
Stay updated on regulatory changes in taxation and provide timely insights to ensure compliance.
Support cross-border taxation and transfer pricing requirements where applicable.
3. Monthly MIS:
Preparation of monthly revenue and commission statements of the company and share it with the business team
Oversee actualized monthly MIS and analyzing variances with provisional MIS
4. Strategic Contributions:
Provide financial insights to leadership to drive strategic decisions regarding audit and taxation matters.
Collaborate with other departments to assess tax implications of new business initiatives and policies.
Assist in shaping the financial governance framework to align with the company s growth objectives.
Manage relationships with external consultants, legal advisors, and government agencies.
5. Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing audit and taxation team.
Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Educational Qualifications And Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in audit and taxation, preferably in startup or service industry.
Chartered Accountant (must)
