Prudent Insurance Brokers - Manager - Reinsurance (1-3 yrs)

Experience Required:

- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Insurance and Reinsurance Industry.

- IRDA Certified /Professional Qualification will be added advantage

Job Description:

- The role holder would be accountable for developing and deliver a commercial strategy for India facultative business (commercial lines), in order to achieve business in terms of revenues and pipeline.

- For the purpose of this role is to create pipeline and seizing new opportunities/prospects that can become a Prudent facultative client, assisting broking teams to feel commercially supported on the consecution of new opportunities that are of the interest of the facultative reinsurance markets within India.

- Work will also involve networking with reinsurers globally specially in Hongkong, Singapore, Dubai and London.

- Proofreading of documents (underwriting information etc.), preparing reinsurance slips, debit / credit notes, and other official documents designed for our cedants and reinsurers.

- Claims handling will be a part of this profile too.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Insurance Companies/ Reinsurers / various departments of the company.

- Development and control of reinsurance processes and procedures.

- Formulate policies and procedures to cover tasks for placement of reinsurance, claims handling, technical accounting and management reporting.

- Provide reinsurance input for the development of new products or changes to existing products.

- Regular meetings with insurers/reinsures and brokers to build their understanding of the business thus enabling execution of reinsurance on the best terms possible for company.

- To emphasize strict compliance with, and adherence to Risk, compliance and legal norms.

- To review business performance & profitability via a strong and periodic MIS system.

- To build new business with network of contacts across both General Insurance Companies & Reinsurance Companies.

- To develop strategies, together with team, to create new business opportunities.

- Analyzing current program placement and developing new alternatives in terms of coverages, different limits, wordings etc.

- Deploying our risk & analytics tools to bring value to the final client and suggesting alternatives in the T&C to be submitted to the market.

- Work closely with global brokers / regional teams on Indian opportunities and facilitate market intelligence & full submission around the opportunity.

- To visit periodically insurance companies, reinsurers, clients, prospects, retail offices and/or third party producers in territory.

- Ensure Regulatory as well as internal compliance with regards to facultative transactions.

- Monitor the financial ratings of the reinsurers and keep a tab on the developments in Reinsurance market.

- Seeking the profitability from the accounts managed.
