Safety Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections at construction sites to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective safety plans, protocols, and training programs.
  
• Provide guidance on HSE best practices to employees, contractors, and visitors at the site.
  
• Investigate incidents or near-misses promptly and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
  
• Develop comprehensive safety plans tailored to the project, including emergency response plans.

• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for all phases of construction.

• Prepare and update safety policies, procedures, and method statements.

• Collaborate with design and project management teams to incorporate safety into construction designs and plans.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3-8 years of experience in Construction Safety or related field (Safety Officer Activities).
  
• Strong knowledge of HSE principles, codes, standards, and regulations applicable to the oil & gas industry.
  
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders including management, engineers, technicians, etc.
