Job Description
- The Medical Coder is responsible for translating medical records into standardized codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- The role ensures proper billing of medical services, compliance with regulatory standards, and contributes to the financial health of the organization.
RequirementsEducation: Bachelors Degree in any life science
Licences/Certifications: CPC/COC/CRC/CCS/CIC
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving ability regarding barriers to receivingand validating accurate HCC information.
- 1+ years experience in HCC coding
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding, including HCC coding methodologies and Riskadjustment coding guidelines.
- Knowledge of Medicare Risk Adjustment (MRA) and Hierarchical ConditionCategories (HCC) coding concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with healthcareproviders and staff
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving ability regarding barriers to receivingand validating accurate HCC information.
