Quality Assurance Engineer - API/Automation Testing (3-6 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience in software testing, including manual testing, automation testing using Selenium/Playwright, Cucumber BDD, and API testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for quality assurance, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Experience in performance and load testing on Azure Cloud is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Design :

Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases for both manual and automated testing scenarios.

- Identify test requirements based on project specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Automation & Manual Testing :

- Automate test cases using Selenium or Playwright and Cucumber BDD frameworks.

- Execute manual testing for functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

API Testing :

- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST-assured, or similar.

- Validate API requests and responses, including functional, performance, and security aspects.

Defect Management :

- Identify, report, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.

- Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are resolved in a timely manner.

Testing Execution :

- Conduct regression, smoke, integration, and system testing.

- Execute performance and load testing on Azure Cloud (preferred but not mandatory).

Test Reporting & Communication :

- Analyze test results, generate test reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

- Provide actionable feedback and support for continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Educational Background :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- 3 to 6 years of experience in software testing.

- Proficiency in manual and automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, and Cucumber BDD.

- Experience with API testing tools like Postman and REST-assured.

- Familiarity with performance and load testing on Azure Cloud (advantageous).

Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks.

- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.

- Knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
