Accountant - Inventory Management/Manufacturing Accounting - CA (3-7 yrs)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory & Manufacturing Accountant to oversee inventory control, cost accounting, and financial reporting for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing cost variances, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper valuation and reconciliation.

- Monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, and conduct periodic physical inventory audits.

- Analyze inventory variances, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.

- Implement and improve inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.

Manufacturing Accounting:

- Track and allocate direct and indirect manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead.

- Calculate and analyze cost variances, including standard vs. actual cost comparisons.

- Prepare cost reports and provide insights to improve production efficiency and profitability.

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing operations.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

- Reconcile inventory accounts with general ledger entries.

- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.

- Work closely with supply chain, production, and finance teams to streamline reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Qualified CA

- 3+ years of experience in inventory management and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
