Project Manager - PMP/Prince2 Certified (10-15 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 10+ years of expertise managing IT projects for enterprise customers, specifically in the shipping/logistics and FinTech domains.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, and the ability to motivate and guide software engineering teams toward successful project delivery in these specialized industries.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning and Execution :

- Develop detailed project plans tailored for shipping/logistics and FinTech solutions, covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.

- Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and enterprise standards.

Domain-Specific Delivery :

- Drive successful delivery of IT solutions for shipping/logistics systems, such as fleet management, supply chain platforms, or warehouse automation tools.

- Manage projects for FinTech applications including account receivables/payables, reconciliation, collection & payments, fraud prevention systems, or financial analytics platforms.

Stakeholder Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients in the shipping/logistics and FinTech sectors.

- Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between client expectations and project outcomes.

Team Leadership :

- Inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and accountability across development, QA, and operations teams.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the software engineering team.

Negotiation and Problem-Solving :

- Negotiate effectively with stakeholders, aligning diverse perspectives to achieve project success.

- Proactively identify and resolve domain-specific challenges, such as compliance risks or integration complexities.

Process Improvement :

- Implement best practices in project management, aligning with Agile, Scrum, or other frameworks for efficient project delivery.

- Continuously refine processes to address unique challenges in shipping/logistics and FinTech domains.

Budget and Resource Management :

- Monitor project budgets, ensuring profitability while delivering value to enterprise clients.

- Optimize resource allocation to balance project demands with team capacity.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience managing IT projects, with at least 5 years of experience in the shipping/logistics and FinTech domains.

- Deep understanding of shipping/logistics technologies (e.g , ERP, TMS, WMS) and FinTech platforms (Bill.com,Tipalti, BlackLine, HighRadius, AvidXchange etc).

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

- Proven negotiation skills to handle domain-specific complexities and align cross-functional teams.

- Expertise in leading software engineering teams, fostering motivation and collaboration.

- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g, MS Project, Jira, Trello) and frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

- PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Attributes :

- Experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects with globally dispersed teams.

- Familiarity with compliance standards in shipping/logistics (e.g , trade regulations, customs processes) and FinTech (e.g , PCI-DSS, AML, KYC).

- Strong analytical skills to address domain-specific challenges, such as supply chain optimization or transaction security.
