Role Overview :
We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our team and take responsibility for managing various IT development initiatives of one of the largest eGovernance projects in India.
You will be responsible for establishing project teams, co-ordinate with client and the staff engaged in project work and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in managing end-to-end IT Systems Implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal development teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, gathering requirements and translating them into actionable deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Functional Specifications (FS).
- Use project management tools such as GitHub or equivalent platforms to monitor and manage project progress.
- Follow and implement Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and address concerns proactively.
Required Qualifications :
- MBA /PGDM.
- PMP/Prince 2 practitioner or any other relevant Project Management certification.
Must have Experience :
- 15 Yrs of overall experience and 10+ years of experience in project management within IT Systems Implementation.
- Should have led at least two Government/eGovernance projects in design, development, release (SDLC) cycle delivering software application projects on open source technology stack.
- Experience of managing or leading project initiatives in e-Governance transformation programs at State/Central or Local level.
- Should have experience in preparing SRS and FRS Documentation, Work Flow, Use Case documentation, Screen Mockups, User Manuals etc.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interactions and team collaboration.
Desired Experience : .
Experience of successfully managing and monitoring medium to large-scale projects through all stages of project life-cycle.
Experience in requirement generation/capturing, BRD preparation, FRS preparation, monitoring of development, and launch of various IT developments.
Experience of managing multiple projects at different stages, concurrently.
Extensive knowledge & experience of a range of project management techniques and tools, including relevant software (e.
MS Project, JIRA, MS Office etc.
Experience of managing, mitigating and reviewing project risks & issues.
Experience of managing change in a complex organisation.
Possess strong technical skills in MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint and excellent presentation (preparation and delivery) skills.
Manage individual workload and deliver on agreed upon milestones.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
Experience of leading/motivating project teams of sizes more than 20.
