Job description:
Project Leadership and Execution:
- Lead and manage PAN India petroleum retail infrastructure projects from planning to commissioning.
- Develop comprehensive project planning, covering timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimations.
- Ensure compliance with SMPV & Petroleum Rules 2016 and secure regulatory approvals from PESO Nagpur.
- Oversee site selection, budgeting, contractor management, and engage with stakeholders at local and national levels to meet project safety, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Collaborate with the Finance team for timely payments to contractors, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
- Obtain management approval for procurement of materials and services critical to project execution.
Procurement Strategy and Execution:
- Lead and execute procurement planning to ensure the availability of resources and services required for PAN India operations in retail petroleum.
- Develop procurement strategies focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and timely supply, while complying with SMPV & Petroleum Rules 2016 and PESO Nagpur guidelines.
- Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and national-level supply chain optimization, ensuring strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely payments to vendors and manage payment schedules in line with procurement contracts.
- Obtain management approval for significant material and service procurement, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Optimize procurement processes for operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and cost control.
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement detailed maintenance planning to ensure optimal functioning and upkeep of petroleum retail outlets across PAN India.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing internal teams and external contractors for efficient equipment and facility maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with SMPV & Petroleum Rules 2016 and safety regulations as per PESO Nagpur.
- Coordinate with the Finance team for timely payments to maintenance contractors and suppliers of materials and services.
- Secure management approval for major maintenance services, equipment upgrades, and capital expenditures.
- Implement proactive strategies to minimize downtime, improve operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
- Report maintenance activities, KPIs, and risks to the Management team at the Head Office, ensuring smooth operational continuity.
